Hi, I’m Lisa. Founder and CEO of LiSTAR Billing.

      When I was in college, I caught my first break and landed a job in an Acupuncturist Medical Office. I was diligent in my work and learned the ropes very quickly. I am very meticulous with everything I do. Not too long after that, I started working in a hospital environment as a Technician but then moved into managing private offices while learning the back-office side quickly. Being quick-witted and smart, I observed daily procedures and noticed the typical pitfalls in the office every day. I soon realized the steps needed to create clean billing and bringing in the maximum revenue for the practice. For example, something as simple as a wrong diagnosis code could delay payment and even result in the denial of claims. I learned from these types of mistakes. This made me realize the importance of accurate coding and billing. I invested myself in the process and made sure I excelled at it. After several years of experience, I became very familiar with the process of Credentialing, Medical Codings, and Billing. This propelled me to start my Medical Billing and Coding Services.

      At this juncture of my career, I am now able to offer my professional expertise to maximize revenue for several practices. At one point, I wanted to be a doctor. I was also raised in a home where my father had his own business and understood the disappointments of not being able to collect revenue due for all the hard work that was completed. Now I can make sure that claims are reviewed before submission, they are filed in a timely manner and patients being treated are eligible at time of service. If a referral or authorization is required, it would be obtained. I strongly believe in efficiency, proficiency and serving doctors in a competent manner.
